Goodmorning, Let’s make this week great. Let’s remember our goals for the week. Let’s eat foods that nourish our bodies and intake only things that will help us grow mentally and physically and spiritually . Let’s try to get some physical activity in as well.

Please stop and meet someone new this week. Remember we’re not really growing if we’re not learning new things on a regular basis. Pick up a magazine or book instead of watching tv this week. Let’s expand our horizons, there’s a whole world out here.

Me first

Our mental health is way more important than any friendship or relationship.Let’s start prioritizing taking care of ourselves first. We are no good to anyone if we aren’t mentally sound and at peace within ourselves. Anyone struggle with this? What are some ways that you take care of self first?

I like to take some time alone just with myself, during this time i will read, listen to music or exercise. I enjoy learning of new ways to get healthy and increase mental awareness of issues going on around me.I also enjoy getting my manicures and pedicures regularly. I love my skin care routine also, it’s very beneficial to make sure as women we take care of our skin. It gives me a great sense of self care. Now i am still learning new methods and open to any suggestions that anyone has. What do you do to take care of you first? Comment below

Can’t get it up?

Ever heard the term”can’t get it up”?

This term generally refers to erectile dysfunction which occurs when a man can’t get or keep an erection firm enough for sexual intercourse. It’s also called impotence either way this is a very serious and life changing condition although very common.

It can either last a few years or even be lifelong. Usually self diagnosable and can be a physical or physiological condition. In a normal instance of sexual arousal nerve impulses and blood flow through the penis causing it to expand and stiffen or become erect.

General causes of erectile dysfunction include increased blood pressure,heart disease and high cholesterol which all affect the amount of blood flow through the body including the penis. Diabetes is a common condition in which erectile dysfunction occurs directly related to the nerve and blood vessel damage during the disease progression.

Long term effects include relationship problems, low self esteem and low confidence levels.

There a many treatment options deciding on the route you would like to go. Natural or pharmaceutical. Common drugs such as Viagra or Cialis are available and they work by expanding blood vessels and are taken 30 -60 minutes prior to sexual activity. Penile implants are an option as well and are placed during an outpatient procedure and usually only takes an hour.

Natural remedies include Panax ginseng ,DHEA which is natural hormone produced by the adrenal glands is also effective for some. Rhodiela Rosea an herb that naturally increase energy and decreases fatigue has been effective in some patients as well. Acupuncture is also a method of treatment. Which method you choose is totally up to you and your doctor of course.

I would personally recommend prevention with a healthy diet consisting of mostly fruits and vegetables and low fat consumption to prevent any of the diseases and conditions associated with erectile dysfunction. Sexual health is a very important component of daily life and can tremendously affect ones relationship and quality of life.
